Orange.… make it work for you. It’s a hard color to pull off which is miserable because I love it so. I did a lot of hunting today and
I’m pretty sure I strained my eyes from Googling for so long but you know what, my eyes will heal. I love you guys and I want you to be able to wear orange loud and proud – make orange your bitch. It can work for you. Here’s how to do it without looking like a halloween creature:
Orange Option #1: In a pencil skirt. I’ve found that darker oranges work for pretty much everyone. Pair this skirt with a purple top or a cream blouse that has some basic detailing. If you want to try a white blouse you can, just make sure it has some detailing so you don’t look like a creamsicle. I just tend to think that cream (off white) blends better, but the choice is yours. An amethyst purple will give you a complementary pop of color.
Orange Option #2: In a Dress. Keep it simple and match it with brown, gold or hints of cobalt blue (belt, shoes or clutch).
**OH, HOLA. Look, a surprisingly lovely orange on orange combo on the runway at J.Mendel. Swap the orange shoes for brown. Notice the suede texture of the skirt paired with the silk top. Follow suit. Too much shine will ruin the pairing.
Orange Option #3: In a Top. Basic details. Pair with grey, tan, white or navy bottoms.
Orange Option #4: In a Shoe.
Orange Option #5: In a Purse.
You must have known it was coming eventually, Hermes!
Congratulations! Orange is now your bitch. Don’t abuse it though, it’s working hard for you. Appreciate the orange.
